I provide a range of services which may be particularly suitable if you wish to allow people to listen to a event broadcast live over the internet.

Acquisition

I can obtain your audio via:

ISDN (G.722 - high quality mono speech - compatible with most radio stations and remote studios),
PSTN (G.711 - ordinary phone lines - landline or mobile)
Online messaging services (eg Skype) and VoIP
FTP/email/internet

Webcasts

Audio can be webcast live at any time to audiences of hundreds (larger on request) and in-player captions added (MP3 metadata).

I can record an archive (ROT) of your event and make it available online. Complex events can also be timestamped and logged, with highlights packages produced.

I can produce a page built in the style of your existing website to promote the audio coverage, build and host a new website for your event, or simply provide you with links to add.

Full access statistics available live or afterwards.

Formats: MP3 streaming (wide compatibility with software/operating-systems) or Realaudio (Helix streaming server).

Editing, Podcasts, Dubbing/conversion between formats

(also known as Post Production)

Podcast production and delivery available, as is conversion to and from all common media (minidisc and CD) and filetypes (WAV, AAC, MP3 etc.)

Audio files can be uploaded/downloaded by FTP.

Range / Catchment Area

I am based in Kent (South East England, United Kingdom) - the only impact of this is I only accept payment in UK pounds. I am happy to work across global time zones in most circumstances.

Keeping you informed

I will notify you of a likely start/completion date for your work.
I will notify you as soon as possible if there are any problems or delays.
On request, I will also provide regular, free updates by email/SMS/phone etc at intervals of your choosing.

Rate Card

As I try to run a flexible business, there is no 'set' price list and prices are flexible depending on what you want. But as a rough guide:

Generally prices start from the equivalent of approx. £30 per hour.
I MAY also charge for the cost of outgoing phone/broadcast calls, and WILL charge for media/consumables (eg CDs/minidiscs) plus postage etc.
I am always pleased (and indeed prefer) to provide an estimate or quote in advance.
Usually (except in unusual circumstances) I do not invoice you until the work is complete.
Usually (unless, for example, advance preparation is needed) there is no deposit required.
Usually (unless I have had to cancel/postpone other business to accommodate your work) there is no cancellation fee.
As I am currently within the HMRC VAT threshold, there is no VAT to pay.
I prefer payment by cheque or BACS, but other methods are possible (e.g. Paypal - which only requires you to have an email address)
If any of the above change I will inform you beforehand.
